The Study Bible Project:

A Vision for the Future

An Important Message from Clyde L. Pilkington, Jr.

This is a vision Iโ€™ve long held in my heart โ€“ a vision that will extend far beyond my lifetime.

The Study Bible that I envision is not just another addition to the countless study resources out there. My desire is to create a Study Bible that centers on the foundational truths I have come to cherish through my years of study:

  • The Absolute Sovereignty of God: A truth that brings comfort and peace as we grasp the reality that God is in control of all things.
  • The Salvation of All: A powerful revelation of Godโ€™s ultimate plan to reconcile the entire Universe to Himself, something often misunderstood or overlooked in mainstream teachings.
  • Godโ€™s True Nature as Father: A focus on Godโ€™s loving, fatherly character, rather than the harsh, judgmental view that many have been taught.
  • Correctly Partitioning the Word of Truth: Providing clarity on properly interpreting the Scriptures by understanding the distinctions in different dispensations.
  • Literal, Accurate Translation: Offering alternate readings, Greek word studies, and notes that dig deep into the original meanings of key texts.

This Study Bible will be a resource that leads people into freedom and understanding, allowing them to see God and His plan for all creation in a new light.I envision starting with the key epistles of the Secret Administration: Ephesians and Colossians, as well as the gateway epistle of Philippians โ€“ books that have been central to my own journey of understanding โ€“ and then expanding to include all of Paulโ€™s letters and eventually the entire Bible.

The Challenge of Time and Resources

I am passionate about this project, but thereโ€™s also a hard reality I face: time. The day-to-day work of ministry is both fulfilling and overwhelming. Gathering and producing material for the Bible Studentโ€™s Notebook and Daily Email Goodies, managing book orders, answering phone calls and emails โ€“ all of this fills my days to the brim.

While I am incredibly grateful for the growth and reach of this ministry, the time needed to dedicate myself fully to the Study Bible Project simply does not exist in my current schedule.

This is why I am reaching out to you for help. In order to move forward with this Study Bible, I need to bring on a full-time assistant โ€“ someone who can labor beside me, managing the daily tasks of the ministry, freeing me to focus on this monumental project.

The estimated cost for hiring this assistant, including salary and office expenses, is around $60,000 per year. We hope to raise at least half of this amount to begin the hiring process.

A Lasting Impact

We all have an expiration date, and none of us knows when that time will come. But what we do know is that the truths we have discovered about Godโ€™s sovereignty, His ultimate plan for the salvation of all, and His deep, fatherly love must continue to be shared with future generations. This Study Bible is a way to ensure that these truths will live on, impacting people long after we are gone.

Much like Bullingerโ€™s Companion Bible has influenced believers for over a century, this Study Bible has the potential to reach those who are searching for answers, clarity and freedom in Godโ€™s Word. It is an opportunity to push these life-changing truths into the future, to leave a legacy that will continue to educate and inspire.

Study Bible Project: An Important Update

The Study Bible Project: A Dream Written Before Time Began

by โ€” Clyde L. Pilkington, Jr. and Steve Martin

It all began over lunch at Ruby Tuesdayโ€™s in Somerset, Pennsylvania, on January 3, 2024. A casual conversation between Clyde and Steve turned into a divine spark when Steve asked, โ€œIf money were no object, what would you do?โ€ Without hesitation, Clyde answered, โ€œIโ€™d create a Bible dictionary and a Study Bible.โ€ That moment reignited a dream that had been quietly burning in his heart for years โ€“ a dream that would soon grow into one of the most significant undertakings in our ministryโ€™s history.

Over the next several months, the dream began to take form. In September 2024, the vision was shared publicly in a video called A Vision for the Future, and later that fall in the Bible Studentโ€™s Notebook. The goal was clear: raise $30,000 to fund a full-time assistant for Clyde, freeing him to focus entirely on developing the Study Bible. By yearโ€™s end, through gifts large and small, the goal was reached. As Clyde said, โ€œThis isnโ€™t about fundraising โ€“ itโ€™s about partnership. I invest my time; others invest their resources. Together, we move forward in Godโ€™s energy.โ€

Unlike any other, this Study Bible will feature two translations side by side โ€“ one ultra-literal and one modern and readable โ€“ bridging precision and clarity. It will draw from over 488 published works, 43 volumes of the Bible Studentโ€™s Notebook, and decades of teaching and research. Beginning with the letters that reveal the present administration of grace โ€“ Ephesians, Colossians, Philemon, and Philippians โ€“ this will truly be โ€œa Study Bible for the Secret Administration,โ€ a Bible of freedom from religion, tradition, and bondage.

In early 2025, Father began building the team. Clydeโ€™s granddaughter, Emma Hawes, began helping in the office, and her assistance quickly proved invaluable. Meanwhile, Steve โ€“ whose consulting work was winding down โ€“ sensed a growing conviction that he was meant to step in as Clydeโ€™s assistant. After a hesitant message and an enthusiastic โ€œDuh โ€“ yes! Youโ€™re the man!โ€ from Clyde, the same question that sparked the dream became the path to its fulfillment. Together with Emma, Andre, and others, Clyde can now devote his full energy to the Study Bible Project, a work decades in the making.

This project continues to unfold as a living testimony of grace. It carries forward the legacy of teachers like E.W. Bullinger and A.E. Knoch while preparing tools for the next generation to stand on. Between now and January, Steve is transitioning into his new role โ€“ what they jokingly call โ€œChief of Staffโ€ โ€“ so that Clyde can focus full-time on the Study Bible. โ€œThis isnโ€™t just a job,โ€ Steve says. โ€œItโ€™s a calling written long before we saw it coming.โ€ Together, through prayer, partnership, and purpose, this dream written before time began is becoming a reality.
