George L. Rogers (1869-1947)

George Lawley Rogers, born in Scotland, had an active ministry in Almont, MI. He became pastor of the same Baptist Church that John H. Paton  (1843-1922) had once pastored. He eventually left the Baptists due to his changed beliefs related to “universal reconciliation.” When he left, nearly the whole congregation went with him, founding what was called the Grace Tabernacle. 

Rogers had an extensive speaking ministry throughout the United States, along with his close associate,  F.H. Robison. He became an associate of A.E. Knoch, and was a regular contributor to Unsearchable Riches magazine. Being an expert in Greek verbs, he later moved from Almont to California to actively assist in the work of the Concordant Version.
