100 Forgotten Universalists

Description

What if the belief that God will ultimately save everyone has a much richer history than you’ve been told?

For nearly two thousand years, men and women from different churches, countries, and theological traditions have questioned the idea that God would condemn part of His creation to endless suffering.

Some were respected theologians. Others were ordinary farmers, preachers, writers, and Bible students. Some lost their pulpits, faced persecution, or were branded heretics. Many have been almost completely forgotten.

100 Forgotten Universalists brings their remarkable stories back to life.

Discover the stories of:

* Early Christian teachers who viewed God’s judgments as corrective rather than endless.

* Reformers and religious dissenters who challenged traditional teachings about hell.

* Baptists, Mennonites, Methodists, Anglicans, and others who embraced universal salvation.

* Women and ordinary believers who stood by their convictions despite religious opposition.

* Forgotten voices from America, Europe, and Asia who believed God’s love would ultimately triumph.

These individuals did not agree about everything. Their beliefs about Christ, judgment, and salvation often differed. But they shared a remarkable hope: God’s purpose for His creation would ultimately succeed.

Sin will not have the last word.

Death will not have the last word.

God will.
